Echoes of a Forgotten Name

“And the king said to Haman, ‘Hurry, take the robe and the horse, as you have suggested, and do so for Mordecai the Jew…’” – Esther 6:10

Message:
There are moments in life when it feels like your good deeds have disappeared into silence — unseen, unrewarded, and forgotten. Yet heaven keeps perfect records. Mordecai’s loyalty was buried in the archives of the palace until one divinely orchestrated night when the king could not sleep. That restless night was not coincidence — it was favour awakening remembrance.

When honour finds you, it doesn’t need your effort or promotion. It is God’s way of announcing that your season has come. Mordecai was not in the palace; he was at the gate. Yet favour reached him where he was and placed his name on the lips of the king.

Cornelius experienced this in Acts 10:4 — “Your prayers and your alms have come up for a memorial before God.” Heaven remembered his consistency, and it triggered angelic visitation and the birth of salvation among the Gentiles. Divine honour always follows divine remembrance.

David also witnessed this when Jonathan’s covenant caused King Saul’s house to later honour Mephibosheth (2 Samuel 9:1–7). Forgotten for years, he was suddenly lifted from obscurity to dine continually at the king’s table. That is what happens when honour finds you — it doesn’t just restore what was lost; it establishes your seat among kings.

So, keep sowing, keep serving, and keep walking in obedience even when no one sees. Favour is tracking your faithfulness. When the appointed time comes, your name will echo in places you never expected, and honour will locate you beyond human manipulation.

Prayer:
Lord, I thank You that You are the God who remembers. Let every seed of faithfulness I have sown speak before You. Cause my name to be mentioned for good, even in high places. Let honour find me in Your perfect timing, and may my testimony glorify Your name. Amen.
