“Then God remembered Noah… and the waters receded.” – Genesis 8:1
There are seasons when it feels like heaven is silent, when your efforts, faith, and prayers seem buried under delay. Yet when God remembers you by favour, silence breaks and divine movement begins. When the Bible says, “God remembered Noah,” it doesn’t mean He ever forgot. It means divine focus shifted in Noah’s direction, and the power of favour began to work on his behalf. Instantly, what kept him confined began to give way, and new possibilities emerged.
God’s remembrance always carries favour with it. It’s a turning point where stagnation meets acceleration. When “God remembered Rachel” (Genesis 30:22), her long-standing reproach of barrenness was lifted. When “God remembered Abraham” (Genesis 19:29), Lot was delivered from destruction. And when “God remembered His covenant” with Israel in Egypt (Exodus 2:24), deliverance was set in motion through Moses.
Each act of remembrance marked the end of delay and the beginning of manifestation. That’s what divine favour does, it revisits forgotten files, reopens closed cases, and restores lost opportunities.
Even David testified to this power when he said, “He remembered us in our low estate, for His mercy endures forever” (Psalm 136:23). Favour remembers you not because of your perfection, but because of covenant love and mercy. It brings you back into divine focus and accelerates your destiny.
So if it feels like you’ve been waiting too long, waiting for a breakthrough, a promise, or a sign — don’t despair. The God who remembered Noah, Rachel, and Israel will remember you. When favour remembers, your waters will recede, your womb will open, and your deliverance will appear.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for being the God who remembers. Remember me this season for good. Let forgotten prayers be revisited, delayed promises be fulfilled, and closed opportunities reopen by favour. Turn my waiting into laughter and my patience into praise. Amen.
