“The LORD make his face shine on you and be gracious to you.” – Numbers 6:25
The greatest assurance a believer can carry is the smile of God upon their life. When God’s face shines on you, it is a sign of divine favour and approval. This blessing, declared in the priestly benediction, is not a casual statement—it is the guarantee that the Creator of the universe has chosen to look upon you with delight.
God’s favour is best described as His “face shining” upon you. Imagine a parent smiling at their child—it brings assurance, confidence, and joy to the child. When God smiles upon your life, every form of darkness, rejection, and fear is driven away. His smile is a sign that you are not forgotten, and that His grace is actively working on your behalf.
Favour is not only about open doors; it is also about the presence of God being with you. When Moses pleaded with God in Exodus 33, he said, “If Your presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.” Why? Because the presence of God is the true evidence of favour. God’s smile is His presence going with you into every situation.
The smile of God also brings peace. People may oppose you, circumstances may look tough, but the assurance that God’s face is shining on you gives you calmness in the storm. It is the confidence that even if men reject you, God’s delight in you will overturn their verdict.
As you begin this month, walk with the consciousness that God is smiling on you. See His approval over your life. See His delight in your steps. His smile is the guarantee that your labour will not be in vain and your efforts will yield results.

Lord, thank You for letting Your face shine upon me. I walk today in the confidence of Your smile, knowing that I am not forgotten. Let Your graciousness be evident in my life, and let every area of darkness be replaced with the light of Your favour. Amen.
