The Esther Advantage

“The king was attracted to Esther more than to any of the other women, and she won his favor and approval…” – Esther 2:17

Favour has a way of making you stand out among many. Esther was just one among countless young women in the kingdom, yet the favour of God distinguished her. She didn’t have the most royal background, neither did she have the most connections, but divine favour gave her the advantage. This is what I call the Esther Advantage.

When God’s favour rests upon you, it is not about competing with others—it is about being divinely distinguished. Where others may present better credentials or appear more qualified, God’s favour will single you out and place you in positions you did not naturally qualify for. Esther wasn’t just chosen because she was beautiful; she was chosen because favour gave her a supernatural advantage.

The Esther Advantage also gives you influence in places that matter. Esther didn’t just become queen for her own comfort; she was strategically positioned to save her people. Divine favour is never selfish—it is given so that God’s purposes can be fulfilled through you. When favour opens a door, remember that God has placed you there not only for yourself, but also to be a blessing to others.

Another dimension of the Esther Advantage is boldness. Favour gave Esther the courage to approach the king even when it was against protocol. Instead of death, she found life, and instead of rejection, she found acceptance. Divine favour gives you the confidence to step into risky places knowing God has already gone ahead of you.

This month, expect the Esther Advantage to manifest in your life. Believe that favour will distinguish you in your workplace, your business, your ministry, and even in the eyes of those in authority. You will not be overlooked. Instead, you will be preferred.

Prayer/Confession:
Lord, thank You for the Esther Advantage at work in my life. I declare that divine favour distinguishes me, gives me influence, and positions me to be a blessing. Where others may be denied, I will be preferred. I receive boldness to walk in this favour today, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
